Are you otay?

Gavin speaks amazingly well for being two. At least to us he does. James wasn't talking like this till at least 2 1/2. We love hearing him say sentences and respond to us- it's just so cool!

One of his favorite things to say is "Are you otay? Are you all better?". If I do anything that sounds distressing he asks me this. And the "all better" part is so thoughtful... like, "Are you... all bet-ter". This kid is so much fun. He is finally evening out with his terrible twos... or we've adapted a whole lot better. He still has his days but we're getting through them easier. He is such a treat and we can't get enough of him.

Holy Ghost

This is not a spiritual post.

It is Halloween time! And James has decided that all ghosts are the HOLY Ghost. I thought maybe he just did it once accidentally... no. It is eveerry time.

Point to a ghost, "What is that, James?"

James: "The Holy Ghost!!!"

Reading Corduroy and the Best Halloween Ever. In the end of the book, Corduroy decides to be a ghost for Halloween after giving up his dino costume for a friend. Every time, James says, "He's the Holy Ghost!"

Seriously. This kid is so dang funny.
